How pickup works
When you donate your RV or motorhome to Revive Ride, we ensure a smooth pickup process tailored to your needs. Our specialized RV-transport flatbed trucks or professional drive-aways are equipped to handle the unique requirements of recreational vehicles. If your RV is located at a storage lot, we coordinate with the facility to arrange a convenient pickup time. It's important to note that vehicle height and length play a critical role in planning the pickup, as most states require a maximum clearance of 13'6”. Our team will work closely with you to streamline the logistics, making your donation experience as seamless as possible.
What drives donation value
The value of your donated RV or motorhome can significantly depend on its condition and maintenance history. House-systems such as the roof, plumbing, and air conditioning are critical, often driving value more than the drivetrain. Be mindful that any water damage can lead to major devaluation. Recent maintenance records can enhance your vehicle's worth, particularly if you plan to donate a Class A model. Lastly, consider seasonality; donating in spring often yields better appraisal results at auctions. An appraisal may be required for classic RVs, and we recommend IRS Form 8283 Section B for fair valuation.
Documentation you need
- Vehicle title
- Service records
- IRS Form 8283 for valuation
- Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) for off-road vehicles
- Bill of sale (if applicable)
Missouri specifics
In Missouri, the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has specific rules regarding RVs and motorhomes. If the vehicle is titled in your name, you can complete the donation with the title transfer. However, in certain cases, a bill of sale may also be applicable, especially for older models. It’s crucial to ensure all paperwork is in order for a smooth transaction. Knowing these details will help make your donation experience straightforward and compliant with state regulations.
